This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to oversee and manage construction projects to meet customers' objectives, while adhering to high standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact, and cost control.Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver various projects in the Civil and Water sectors successfully
  • Ensure work is completed to the specified quality without defects
  • Lead teams of Sub Agents, Engineers, and Foremen to deliver work safely and to the specified quality
  • Produce and implement Project Plans, RAMS, and ITPs, aligning with company procedures
  • Maximise the commercial performance of contracts
  • Develop and manage project construction programmes
  • Create procurement schedules and coordinate with the procurement department
  • Represent the business to customers, public, and official bodies
  • Ensure end products meet customer requirements and satisfaction
  • Manage the project cost plan
  • Maximise project value and complete detailed site diaries/records
  • Maintain commercial tension and highlight value engineering opportunities
  • Produce accurate monthly reports for clients and internal use
  • Chair weekly site meetings as per company procedures
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in Civil Engineering, Water, Utilities
  • Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, and cost control
  • Experience managing subcontractors and producing Safe Systems of Work
  • Knowledge of JCT and NEC contract forms
  • CSCS (Site Manager), SMSTS & IOSH
  • Excellent communication, team management skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Confined Space Training would be an advantage
