Do you thrive in a dynamic classroom environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to make a real impact?We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a forward-thinking school in Hulme. This role is classroom-based, working closely with teaching staff to support students across Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 who require additional emotional and behavioural support to access learning.Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needsAssist in delivering tailored interventions and behaviour strategiesFoster positive relationships and promote emotional regulationSupport classroom routines and learning activitiesWork collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teamsMaintain accurate records and contribute to student progress reviewsWhat Were Looking For:
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or SENStrong behaviour management and de-escalation skillsA calm, empathetic, and consistent approachUnderstanding of safeguarding and child protection proceduresRelevant qualifications (e.g. TA Level 2/3, Youth Work, Psychology) desirableAbility to build trust and rapport with vulnerable learnersWhy Join Us?
