Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer Electrical BiasLocation: Long SuttonSalary: £40,000A leading Facilities Maintenance service provider is seeking an experienced and versatile Multi-Skilled Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their on-site engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and motivated individual to contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of a critical site. Job Description
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks on electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with contractual SLAs and KPIs.
  • Maintain and service electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, control panels, emergency lighting, and fire alarms.
  • Perform mechanical maintenance on HVAC plant, pumps, valves, AHUs, FCUs, pipework, and basic plumbing systems.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, plant checks, and monitor BMS systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide first-line fault diagnosis and repair, escalating complex issues where necessary.
  • Complete all relevant documentation accurately, including maintenance logs, compliance paperwork, and risk assessments.
  • Support other on-site engineers and subcontractors to ensure smooth, efficient site operations.
  • Ensure adherence to health & safety protocols, including safe systems of work and permit-to-work procedures.
RequirementsWe're looking for you, if:
  • Level 3 qualification in an Electrical discipline (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent) - Essential.
  • Proven experience in building services maintenance within a commercial environment, ideally in a prestigious or high-end setting.
  • Strong multi-skilled knowledge, able to work confidently on both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Competence in fault finding, planned maintenance, and compliance procedures.
  • Familiarity with BMS systems and working within SLA/KPI-driven environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and client-facing approach.
  • A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, including health & safety legislation.
