In this vital role, you will help us deliver a high-quality service aligned with our 5-year plan, ensuring our towns are safe, clean, and welcoming.

You'll be at the forefront of tackling environmental crime and anti-social behaviour across the borough, working closely with partner agencies to uphold community standards.Key responsibilities include:
- Investigating fly tipping, abandoned vehicles, and traveller encampments
- Issuing Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) for littering and other offences
- Conducting PACE interviews and attending court hearings
- Acting as an incident liaison officer and representing the Council in neighbourhoods
- Working in partnership with Surrey Police, DVLA, Highways Agency, and emergency services
- Maintaining accurate records in line with GDPR requirements
We're looking for someone who:
- Can confidently handle difficult and contentious situations
- Has a good working knowledge of relevant legislation
- Is self-motivated, organised, and able to manage their own workload
- Is proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel (with wider IT confidence)
- Ideally knows the borough's towns, parks, and open spaces
- Holds a full manual UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK
- Communicates clearly in both spoken and written English
- CSAS accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
- Police vetting and enhanced DBS check
