St Giles Surgery, located in Camberwell SE5 are looking for a 6 session salaried GP, with a veiw to possible partnership.The successful candidate will benefit from working as part of a supportive and positive practice team, in addition to the help and guidance we provide to our own colleagues, we are a training practice and regularly host trainee placements.In this role, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group.Main duties of the job
  • Undertaking a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, reports and correspondence in a timely fashion.
  • Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation.
  • Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
  • Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
  • Developing care plans for health inconsultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols.
  • Providing health education.
  • Recording clear consultation notes to agreed standards.
  • Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions.

We also benefit from the local Primary Care Network, First Contact Physios and care coordinator on site.   • Registration and certification included in the NHSE list of Medical Practitioners per section 91 of the NHS Act 2006
  • Hold full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) on the General Practitioner Register.
  • Be a Newly Qualified GP having obtained your Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice within the last two years, verifying completion of the postgraduate training required to practice independently.
