We’re working with a high-achieving 11–18 secondary school looking for an outstanding Physics specialist to take on the role of Second in Science. You’ll support the Head of Department in driving standards, shaping curriculum delivery, and leading innovation while continuing to inspire students through your own excellent teaching.About the RoleAs Second in Science, you’ll:Support the Head of Science in leading and managing the departmentDrive high-quality teaching and learning across Physics, Biology, and ChemistryLead curriculum development and assessment in Physics up to A-LevelMentor and support colleagues, including ECTs, to develop their practiceTrack progress, analyse data, and implement strategies to raise attainmentOrganise and promote enrichment activities such as STEM clubs, competitions, and tripsAbout YouWe’re looking for someone who:Holds QTS and has a strong track record teaching Physics across KS3–KS5Has proven leadership or responsibility experience within a science departmentBrings a passion for Physics and the ability to inspire all learnersIs confident using data to inform planning and raise achievementBuilds positive relationships and fosters a collaborative team culture * Must have UK schools experience.
