- The development and communication of a production plan to maintain the correct stock levels and a continuous flow of finished goods to the customer.
- Coordinating production operations in accordance with labour, material, and equipment availability.
- Effecting changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.
- Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.
- Using SAP MRP to produce the required material quantities on time.
- Planning downtime requests and use of safety stock.
- Preparation and communication of status and performance reports (actual vs planned).
- Proactively and promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimise delays in production.
- Monitoring and reporting on customer delivery performance.
- Monitoring inventory against the agreed levels.
- Monitoring the bill of materials (BOM) including raw materials, assemblies, subassemblies, parts and components and the quantities of each needed to manufacture products.
- Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.
- Supporting new product introduction for example, allocating time on a process.
- Escalating issues following the escalation procedure.
- Adhering to quality standards and requirements, including all QMS related items.
