
Financial Accounts Assistant - FTC

- Responsibility for calculating and posting journals and accruals.
- Ensure month end processes are completed accurately and in accordance with both local and Kingfisher reporting deadlines.
- Own and reconcile relevant GL codes and provide explanations of movements.
- Assist with reporting requirements for month end, quarter end, half year and year end.
- Assist with preparation of statutory accounts and Annual Reports.
- Assist with preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Financial administration including master data maintenance.
- Produce regular and ad hoc reports for internal use.
- Provide timely responses to finance queries.
- Support the wider finance team and any other ad-hoc work.
- Ensure all standard operating procedures are complete and updated annually.
- Ensure compliance with Group Financial Reporting Manual and Screwfix internal controls.
- Identify process improvement opportunities as part of Screwfix Smart Working.
- Support internal and external audits as required.
- Part qualified or qualified by experience, with experience working in a finance-based role(s).
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills as a minimum.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across the business and with third parties.
- Ability to develop solutions to problems and identify process improvement opportunities.
