We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association in Somerset, who are recruiting for a Compliance Officer/Specialist on a three month rolling contract.The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The hourly rate for the role is £29.00 per hour via an Umbrella company depending on experience.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the big six, compliance data systems and carrying out compliance inspections.Duties will include (but are not limited to):
  • Carrying out a range of compliance duties including water hygiene checks, block and fire door inspections, focusing on quality and safety
  • Ensuring that statutory best practice requirements apply to lifts, water, fire safety and M+E services
  • Working alongside contractors with a view of gaining 100% compliance across a given area- Carrying out basic testing on properties
  • Reviewing compliance risk assessments and ensuring all remedial works are identified and notified
  • Instructing contractors to complete remedial works- Planning appointments with residents and attending them in a timely manner
  • Updating internal databases to feed into the monthly compliance report- Supporting procurement activity within the compliance team
  • Inspecting and surveying fire doors
Working hours:
  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, Flexible Start/Finish Times
