- Damp mopping and buffing of all floor surfaces, including using machinery. Periodic maintenance as included in the cleaning schedules.
- Vacuum cleaning of all carpet areas, including use of machinery.
- Damp dusting all radiators, pipes and ledges.
- Cleaning of all furniture and fittings by the appropriate method.
- High dusting.
- Cleaning of partition glass and inside of windows where necessary.
- Cleaning of all sanitary fitments.
- Cleaning wall tiles.
- Replenishing disposable items, e.g. paper towels, soap, rubbish sacks, etc.
- Emptying of refuse bins and removing to place of disposal. Cleaning of all refuse holders.
- Cleaning of lockers, beds and mattress when vacated by the patient
- Prepare the dining room ready for meals.
- Ensure all meal and break pots are washed with the aid of the dishwasher and that the kitchen is left clean and tidy.
- Report defaults, breakages, pests, etc, to relevant person.
- To work as a member of the 'house' team including attending team meetings as appropriate.
- In the allotted time, any other non-patient duty as required by the Unit manager.
- To complete all relevant paperwork as requested by management.
