
EDU Functions System Engineer

- Define and manage requirements and interfaces for EDU subsystems including gearbox control, torque delivery, and energy flow coordination across inverter systems
- Ensure seamless integration between EDU software, inverter controls, and powertrain network communication
- Develop feature-level specifications and system boundaries for drive modes, gear control logic, and regen strategies
- Conduct cross-domain technical reviews and alignment workshops with embedded SW, hardware, controls, and safety teams
- Support implementation of ISO 26262 safety lifecycle tasks including HARA, ASIL allocation, and safety goal validation for combined EDU/inverter systems
- Assist FuSa leads in preparing safety concepts, technical requirements, and mitigation strategies
- Ensure system functions are properly decomposed with allocated safety mechanisms and traceability to compliance tools
- Use SysML/MSOSA methodologies to develop functional architectures, state machines, interface diagrams, and scenario models
- Maintain system model consistency across squads and disciplines using MBSE frameworks and repositories
- Support system configuration, baselining, and validation using TRM, X-ray, and PLM integration tools
- Drive traceability from feature-level objectives through design, implementation, and validation plans
- Experience in powertrain systems development, preferably within EV/HEV platforms
- Strong understanding of EDU function design, including software integration, control logic, and diagnostics
- Hands-on experience with model-based systems engineering, including SysML tools (e.g., Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect)
- Familiarity with ISO 26262, TRM methodology, and requirement management systems (DOORS, Polarion, X-ray)
- Experience in gearbox control systems, torque management algorithms, and drivetrain behavior modeling
- Knowledge of inverter systems, motor control (FOC, current loops), and embedded software interactions
- Understanding of vehicle bus architectures (CAN, LIN, FlexRay) and diagnostic stacks (UDS, ODX)
- Agile development experience and ability to collaborate in multi-squad environments
