Tayside is a beautiful area situated on the east coast of Scotland and is close to the other major Scottish cities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen. It is a fantastic area to live and work. Integrated into the Ninewells Hospital site is the University of Dundee which has an international reputation for excellence in teaching and research.Our busy Cardiac Physiology department, staffed by a friendly and committed team, provides a comprehensive range of invasive and non-invasive cardiology investigations. These include Coronary Angiography, primary PCI using up to date techniques, ICD, CRT and Pacemaker implantation and follow-up, Physiologist-led loop implantation service, Electrophysiology, Echocardiography, Physiologist-led stress testing including RACP and Chest Pain Clinics and a variety of ambulatory monitoring techniques, as well as a routine ECG service.This post is for an experienced echocardiographer who will be working predominantly in performing and reporting adult transthoracic echocardiography, with the opportunity to perform transoesophageal echocardiography, both of which use the very latest ultrasound technology for example, strain analysis, 4D imaging and exercise / pharmacological stress echo.The post holder may be required to work in other areas of the department and therefore must be appropriately qualified and experienced.We are fully committed to continuing professional development and education. Attendance at local, national and international professional meetings/seminars is encouraged and supported to maintain and update knowledge and skills.Suitable candidates must possess a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent and must be AHCS registered or equivalent.
