Job detailsSalary range: £24,702 - £26,873 pro-rata, per annumWork location: The Lord Williams School, ThameHours per week: 1x Full time and 1x Part time posts availableContract type: Permanent (Term time only- 39 weeks per annum)Vetting requirements: This role is subject to a criminal records checkClosing date: Monday 15th April 2024Interview date: To be confirmedWe are looking for enthusiastic teaching assistants to work in the specialist resource base at The Lord Williams School, for children with Autism and Communication and Interaction differences.About usOur Communication and Interaction Resource Bases belong in mainstream schools where you will work closely with specialist teacher and mainstream subject teachers, providing directed support, care and supervision to children including those on the Autism Spectrum and children with differences in their language, interaction, learning and communication.About the roleThe aim of your support and guidance will be to enable children to access the curriculum and to facilitate full inclusion in school life, supporting them to learn as independently as possible and to develop to their full potential. You will join a supportive, skilled and welcoming team of support staff and teachers who are experienced and well respected in the school.About youOur ideal candidate has a quiet and encouraging manner, highly developed communication skills and the ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
