£110 – £120 per day (paid weekly)Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting fully qualified and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Penzance and the surrounding areas from September 2025.A number of local primary and secondary schools are still seeking to secure skilled and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support learning in the classroom and provide cover when needed. Both short-term and long-term positions are available.Your Role Will Include:Delivering planned lessons in the absence of the class teacherProviding targeted support to individuals and small groupsAssisting with planning and assessment when requiredSupporting behaviour management and classroom routinesHelping maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environmentWhat You Will Need:A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)Prior experience working in a school or educational settingConfidence leading whole-class and small-group teachingA flexible, professional, and proactive approach to your workAn Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)What We Offer:A competitive daily pay rate of £110 – £120, paid weeklyFlexible working patterns to suit your scheduleFree access to training and professional development opportunitiesOngoing support from a dedicated local consultantThe potential for temporary roles to become permanent placementsAll applicants must meet the safeguarding requirements as outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education, including an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and references.
