Data Protection Lawyer - In-house - Elite Global Law Firm We are working with an elite global law firm. Highly respected for its Data Privacy and Intellectual Property practice groups, this well established and growing law firm, is now looking for a Data Protection Lawyer to join their in-house risk management team. The Firm; Highly ranked for its Data Privacy, Cybersecurity, IT and TMT practice groups with clients spanning the corporate, banking, real estate, retail, technology, big data, employment and professional services sectors. The Team: You will be joining the Risk Management team. The team consists of In-House Legal Counsel, Risk Lawyers and Business Acceptance. You will be reporting to the firms Director of Risk. The Opportunity: You will be involved with developing the firms Data Protection Compliance Programme, which will involve responding to cyber security risks, responding to client audits and managing data subject access requests. · Support the Director of Risk with developing the IT security and privacy strategy for the firm · Leading on continuous improvement projects for the firms data protection compliance program · Implementing and maintaining data protection policies and processes · Carrying out data protection compliance assessments · Creating data protection training programs and facilitating these internally About You: · Qualified Solicitor - England & Wales · Experience of advising on Data Privacy Law · Strong attention to detail · Confident handling and processing complex and sensitive information On Offer: · Highly competitive salary & benefits package · Global firm · Cross jurisdictional work · Flexible working - 2 days a week in the office BCL Legal is an equal opportunities employer.
