T&F Manufacturing Lead Engineer - 35975517 - Halewood - £41.19/hr - Inside IR35About the Role
Join a dynamic Global Manufacturing Engineering (GME) team as a Trim & Final (T&F) Manufacturing Lead Engineer. Based at the Halewood facility, you will drive the delivery of state-of-the-art facility installations to support new model introductions and model year changes. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead innovation, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure world-class manufacturing processes in a fast-paced, agile environment.Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead the planning and implementation of facility installations, ensuring alignment with Product Creation and Delivery System (PCDS) and Launch Quality Operating System (LQOS) deliverables.
  • Facility Development: Develop detailed facility timing plans in line with manufacturing launch strategies.
  • Supplier & Vendor Management: Collaborate with the purchasing team to lead supplier selection and manage vendor relationships.
  • Feasibility & Design: Provide feasibility statements for product designs to meet manufacturing process and facility requirements.
  • Cost & Performance Tracking: Maintain detailed cost trackers and achieve equipment capability and operational efficiency targets.
  • Agile Leadership: Act as a Scrum Master, using Agile methodologies to drive team performance and resolve technical issues.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with GME Technologies, Logistics, Digitals, Maintenance, Production, and Programme Management teams to ensure alignment.
  • Quality & Lean Principles: Drive quality planning, lean manufacturing principles, and adherence to Bill of Process (BOP) requirements.
Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Detailed understanding of NEBOSH and Construction Design Management (CDM) Regulations.
  • Proven experience in project and budgetary management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Track record of delivering facilities and managing multiple facility suppliers and concurrent projects.
  • Experience in product launches and involvement in product development, including virtual toolsets.
  • Ability to set and monitor individual and team objectives to meet performance goals.
  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (preferred).
  • Proactive delivery and commitment to meeting deadlines.
