- To hold the MRCP (UK)
- Postgraduate qualification in gastroenterology (MRCP Gastro, MD, PhD or equivalent
- Clinical experience and competence in gastroenterology.
- Ability to provide therapeutic endoscopy for GI bleeding.
- Excellent communication skills with patients, colleagues, managers and other staff
- Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
- Subspecialty expertise in gastroenterology or endoscopy
- Evidence of experience in Clinical Governance
- Experience of Audit
- Upholds Trust values GMC code of conduct
- Ability to organise and manage own workload efficiently
- Experience/qualification in clinical leadership/management
- Experience and commitment to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate clinical staff
- Medical education qualification
- Experience of research
- Postgraduate research degree
- Ability to supervise postgraduate research
- Publication in peer reviewed journals
- Willingness and ability to travel across sites if needed
