We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Design Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the design and development of our mechanical product range. Working within an ISO 9001 environment, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality, manufacturable designs using advanced 3D CAD tools.Key Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical components and assemblies using NX, Inventor, and AutoCAD.
- Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing and assembly.
- Perform engineering calculations, including FEA and FMEA analysis.
- Manage new product development projects and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Produce technical documentation such as material specifications, IOM manuals, and Bills of Materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to value engineering (VAVE) efforts.
- Support testing, supplier visits, and customer interactions as needed.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical design within a 3D CAD environment.
- Strong knowledge of design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA).
- Experience with FEA software and rotating machinery is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- A proactive team player with a positive, solutions-focused attitude.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) preferred.
- HNC/HND with relevant industry experience will also be considered.
- IEng registration is a plus.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software is essential.
