
CAMHS SPA Practitioner

- Work as an autonomous practitioner providing a holistic approach to provide a high standard of clinical expertise in the assessment, planning treatment education and advice given to patients, carers and other health and social care professionals.
- Ongoing responsibilities for the implementation and evaluation of the CaFSPA process, alongside assessment of young people care where there is a greater complexity of need
- Excellent risk assessment and management skills in relation to positive risk taking and decision making to enable safe and effective responses to CYP and their families, primarily by telephone.
- Play an integral role in developing clinical care pathways and quality standards within the CaFSPA, alongside participating in the delivery of the agreed aims and objectives of the service and identify factors which may inhibit these from being achieved.
- Assist in the delivery of a high standard of care to service users referred to the service.
- Implement agreed systems for the monitoring of effectiveness of care.

- Evidence of extensive post registration experience with working with children experiencing mental health related difficulties
- Experience of previous working in a similar role. Experience of working within CAMHS Setting
- Knowledge and experience of holistic assessment of need and understanding of appropriate intervention and MDT approach.
- Psychological therapy training/Brief interventions
- Have the ability to prioritise own workload and the workload of others and meet set deadlines
- Team player, Integrity, Negotiation skills, good time management/organisation skills.
- First level (Degree or higher diploma) professional Nursing / AHP / Social Work / Therapy qualification in mental health, Social Work, Nursing AHP or equivalent with demonstrable knowledge and continuous post qualified experience/professional development
- Post-registration experience, evidence of formal courses and training at diploma/degree level.
- Evidence of extensive post registration experience with working with children experiencing mental health related difficulties
- Experience of previous working in a similar role. Experience of working within CAMHS Setting
