A unique opportunity has come up....From September 2025 (or earlier, depending on candidates availibility) our 2 to 4's room is changing and we are restructuring our team.We are are looking for an eEarly Years leader for our 2 to 4s to join our lovely Lynwood Family.VacancyJob Title - Room Leader36 hoursFull time - 4 days per weekQualifications - Level 3Salary: 29k - 32kMininmum 2 years experience in a leading role (required)PermamentGood understanding of the EYFS frameworkThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone who likes a challenge and wants to develop their leadership and manager abilities within an longstanding and fantastic work place in Barrow.We are offering a foundational 12 week leadership course to give the candidate the best chance to brush up on their leadership skills.The successful candidate should be experienced in running a room a group and leading, motivating and inspiring people.
We are a quirky team, but gosh we are welcoming, good hearted, funny and sensationally good teachers to our children.But we also know when we need support and we are looking for someone who does not shy off to muck in and is comfortable to delegate and has an energetic personality.You will need an enhanced DBS, at least 2 clear employer references, and a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar leading role.
Working pattern is based on 4 days (36 hours) between Monday to Friday all year around.
The successful candidate gets 26 holidays per year and we increasing this by 1 day for every year of service.About You
  • You have a warm, smiling face that makes every child feel special.
  • You support our ethos in providing a brighter, more sustainable future for all children
  • Ideally you should able to read stories upside down, with at least 10 interruptions per page.
  • You are willing to provide a stimulating early year's education and support the next generation to learn and develop
  • You enjoy leading by example and leading your team to become the best early years educators they can be
  • You enjoy showing, modelling and demonstrating to the children and to your team
  • You will preferably have a little quirkiness - If a child request that you be an astronaut navigating a rocket ship full of dinosaurs through out of space with Peppa Pig on your back, than you will be the best astronaut you can be! But at least these are the things which will make you smile after work.
  • You must be prepared to have a lot of fun in the workplace. Laughter is something you can expect to engage in for a large part of your working days.
  • You are not afraid to dance in the rain, make mud pies, build sandcastles in the snow and explore the local environment.
  • You possess the skills required to rapidly count the heads of numerous moving small people is of the utmost importance.
  • Nose-wiping skills desired.
  • Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to many young children and their families. There is no better feeling than watching that tiny 3 month old baby grow in to a well-educated pre-schooler preparing for big school
