- Strategic Leadership: Managing multiple projects, ensuring successful delivery within budget and programme.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensuring contracts adhere to all applicable legislation, Health & Safety Plans, and environmental requirements.
- Project Oversight: Keeping site teams informed about contract parameters and ensuring they have the right resources to achieve objectives.
- Subcontractor & Supplier Management: Controlling and coordinating external resources to maintain the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and quality.
- Progress Monitoring: Continuously tracking contract performance to ensure milestones and objectives are met.
- Contract Negotiation: Identifying, agreeing, and managing contract changes in collaboration with the Project Delivery Team.
- Reporting & Business Development: Providing formal progress reports while identifying new business opportunities for growth.
- Proven Experience: Previous experience as a Project Manager in a contracting or civil engineering environment.
- Technical Expertise: Degree / HNC / HND in civil engineering or strong equivalent experience in a technical engineering role.
- Civils Experience: Demonstrated experience leading teams on infrastructure projects, with rail and/or highways experience. Any previous experience working in power stations or similar environments, along with basic electrical safety knowledge, is advantageous.
- Planning: Demonstrated experience in managing multiple programmes through pore-constriction phase to handover.
- Industry Certifications: SMSTS, Temporary Works Coordinator.
- Strong Leadership Skills: The ability to manage teams and drive excellence across multiple contracts, ensuring safe delivery and quality at all times.
