Contract: Temporary (6 Months)About the Role:We are recruiting a Graphic Design and Web Advisor to join the Corporate Communications team at the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS).This is a creative and impactful role, supporting NIFRS in delivering high-quality communication, branding, and digital engagement. You will provide professional design solutions, manage website content and development in line with legislation, and ensure brand consistency across all platforms.Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver creative concepts for print, digital, social media, and corporate communications.
  • Liaise with internal teams to shape design briefs and deliver engaging solutions.
  • Ensure all work aligns with corporate brand guidelines and enhances NIFRS's public image.
  • Act as a key contact with the external website supplier, ensuring compliance with accessibility, data protection, and technical standards.
  • Manage online content and support digital campaigns, including SEO, analytics, and performance reporting.
  • Monitor social media and digital platforms, using insights to improve engagement.
  • Develop and maintain a design library and support new projects such as an Employee App.
  • Provide advice to internal stakeholders and external suppliers on design and branding.
What We're Looking For:Essential:
  • A relevant professional qualification (e.g. Graphic Design, Visual Design, Multimedia Graphic Production - Level 5 or equivalent).
  • At least 2 years' experience in a professional graphic design environment.
  • Experience designing a wide range of print, digital, and marketing materials.
  • Proven ability to work within brand guidelines and deliver creative campaigns.
  • Strong practical skills in Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign and Illustrator).
  • Experience developing website design, structure, and functionality.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Full UK driving licence or access to transport to meet the requirements of the role
