Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lewisham seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a variety of learning needs.About the Role:This is a full-time, long-term role suitable for a candidate who has experience or a strong interest in working with children with special educational needs, including:
- Supprt pupils with special need like Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD),ADHD, Speech and language difficulties, SEMH challenges.
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist teachers with classroom management and lesson delivery
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Work closely with the SENCO, parents, and external professionals
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN (desirable)
- A positive, patient and empathetic nature
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Psychology degree, or equivalent experience)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Access to CPD and training opportunities (e.g. Team Teach, Safeguarding, Autism Awareness).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
