
Technical Buyer

- Source and procure engineered parts such as PCBAs, machined components, custom magnetics, and subassemblies
- Interpret and communicate technical drawings and specifications to suppliers
- Work closely with Engineering to ensure purchased parts meet technical and functional requirements
- Issue RFQs, assess supplier quotes, and lead commercial negotiations to drive value and cost savings
- Manage supplier relationships, track delivery performance, and resolve issues
- Support new product introduction (NPI) activities with timely sourcing and supply chain readiness
- Contribute to supplier selection and qualification processes
- Maintain accurate supplier and item data in Epicor ERP system (pricing, lead times, MoQs, etc.)
- Support PPV tracking and cost-reduction initiatives, including value engineering and alternate sourcing
- Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, and Quality on BOM accuracy, lead-time alignment, and risk mitigation
- Ensure compliance with export/import regulations and customer-specific requirements
- Familiarity with aerospace or regulated industries is a key requirement for this role
- Experience in technical procurement within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications
- Proven ability to negotiate commercially while balancing technical and quality requirements
- Comfortable working in a high-mix, low-volume environment
- Experience using Epicor ERP for procurement processes
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Understanding of sourcing strategies, cost drivers, and supplier development processes
- Knowledge of import/export compliance and risk management desirable
