As a Healthcare Assistant, youll play a vital role in supporting patients and helping clinical teams deliver outstanding care in a warm, respectful environment.Main duties of the job
  • Providing face-to-face support to patients within our practices
  • Carrying out clinical duties such as blood pressure checks, ECGs, phlebotomy, wound care, weight management, and NHS health checks
  • B12, shingles, pneumococcal and flu injections
  • Supporting the nursing and GP team in chaperoning patients
  • Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients health & wellbeing
  • Vaccine and cold chain storage monitoring and recording
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical records
  • Assisting with infection control and general health promotion
  • Contributing to a positive and proactive team culture
  • Support with clinical stock control management - clearing and restocking consultation rooms

  • - Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a primary care or community setting (preferred)
  • - NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
  • - Competence in core HCA duties such as phlebotomy, ECGs, wound care, etc.
  • - A kind, respectful and professional approach to patient care
  • - Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • - A team player whos flexible, reliable and committed to continuous learning
