Role: Solutions ArchitectJob type: Permanent, full-timeBase Salary: up to £75KLocation: Milton Keynes – Hybrid (50/50)Industry- Manufacturing (Commercial/Industrial Vehicles)Background:Our client, a leading industrial/commercial vehicle manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to lead on the technical design of applications and platforms within the IT estate. The role works closely with Central IT, Heads of Technology, Enterprise Architects, Technical Architects, business analysts, developers, and project managers to deliver IT Change that meets the needs of projects and programmes within the company’s enterprise portfolio.Responsibilities:
  • Own and maintain technical architecture artefacts for Business and IT Platforms, covering AS-IS, TO-BE (Roadmaps), and transitional states across Infrastructure, Applications, and Integration Services.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Technology Heads to govern the lifecycle of Scania’s shared technology and infrastructure platforms.
  • Define and align technical standards, frameworks, tools, and patterns with enterprise architecture and peers, ensuring compliance with best practices.
  • Provide technical expertise, guidance, and assurance to developers/engineers for consistency with agreed standards.
  • Work with business stakeholders to identify and exploit opportunities that deliver business value
