- Lead the day-to-day management of the endoscopy unit, ensuring high standards of patient care.
- Provide specialist clinical leadership and support to nursing and support staff.
- Oversee rostering, training, recruitment, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with Health Board policies, clinical governance, and national guidelines.
- Liaise with stakeholders to meet service demand and Welsh Government waiting time targets.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and patient-centred care.
- Live registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council
- Masters qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Continuing Professional Development
- Teaching and assessing qualification
- Knowledge of Endoscopy Nursing and treatment
- Extended skills e.g. immediate life support training
- Significant experience in an Endoscopy Department
- Experienced in the management of acutely unwell patients
- Evidence of leading a team
- Knowledge of national and local guidelines/strategies
- Demonstrate PTHB Values
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal can manage barriers and have empathy
- Excellent organisational skills and can produce spreadsheets and reports
- Good people management skills
- Understanding of clinical governance
- Ability to lead a team
- Innovative approach to patient care and service development
- Ability to speak Welsh
- Can work flexibly over 7 days if required and travel between PTHB sites to meet the needs of the service
