  • Audit and Assurance planning and the delivery of the Audit and Assurance plan to the client;
  • Performing planning activities for audit engagements including, but not limited to, calculating audit materiality, assessing engagement risk, drafting engagement letters and performing procedures regarding fraud and error;
  • Liaison with key client staff providing timely reporting and management information on status of audit work;
  • Performing substantive audit procedures to test account balance, class of transaction and disclosure assertions;
  • Performing audit procedures for one off transactions and project work;
  • Performing audit concluding procedures including, but not limited to, tying audit testing to financial statements, assessing going concern and performing analytical reviews; and
  • Involvement in the management of reporting requirements, including attendance at meetings.

  • Hold or be in the final stages of achieving a relevant professional qualification, e.g. ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA, ICAS (or equivalent) or overseas equivalent
  • Previous experience of working with UK GAAP reporting standards, IFRS and USGAAP is beneficial but not required
  • Experience in the end-to-end audit process
  • The ability to present and analyse client data in a clear and concise format
  • Ability to develop effective client and internal senior relationships
  • Project management or equivalent experience
  • Able to manage, coach and develop small teams
  • Public company audit experience is preferable but not required
