This role does not offer sponsorshipAbout the RoleAs SENCo, you will play a key role in the strategic development and implementation of SEND provision across the school. Working closely with the Headteacher and our on-site therapy team, you will ensure that pupils with autism, complex communication needs, and associated learning and emotional needs receive high-quality, individualised support.Key responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of the school's SEND policy and inclusive practices
  • Provide guidance on the graduated approach to SEN and tailored interventions
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, families, and external agencies
  • Monitor and review the effectiveness of SEND provision
  • Contribute to whole-school development as part of the Leadership Team
This is a highly rewarding role where you'll directly impact pupils' progress, confidence, and wellbeing.Who We're Looking ForWe're seeking an innovative and motivated SENCo who is ready to shape and influence the success of a new service.You'll need to bring:
  • UK QTS (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND, especially autism and complex needs
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • A collaborative, solution-focused mindset
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
About usOur New Options Autism School - Bradford Beacon School is proposed to open September 2025 and will cater for 37 pupils aged 4 - 11 years with have a variety of complex needs including ASC.For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
