Location : Field Based, United Kingdom Job AdvertABOUT THIS ROLEReporting to the Area Sales Manager. The role of Business Development Manager owns the day-to-day relationships with key existing salons and is responsible for successfully onboarding key gains. The role nurtures client relationships focusing on understanding their business, challenges and goals and maximising value through partnering with ghd.Leading the delivery of hands-on solutions to grow and support salons retail business with a 360° approach via visual merchandising, social media, education, and eventing ensuring a best-in-class service is provided to all our salons.Driving a real sales culture within the Salon Channel and blends excellent customer service with a selling edge that continuously drives KPI’s to the highest levels.The UK and Ireland is the largest and most developed markets for ghd. It is a critical territory for the sustainability of the brand at a global level.JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and nurture strong lasting client relationships, providing value to our salons.
  • Support clients through the implementation of key promotional and marketing activity to generate sales growth and meet brand objectives in line with ghd’s 4E strategy.
  • Organise experiential brand events co-ordinated with major launches and key retail periods both offline and online.
  • Support and implement social media strategies with salons in line with ghd’s marketing activations as well as being involved in unique content creation.
  • Ensure brand executions in salon are premium and in accordance with new launches and promotional calendars, applying best practices to window and in salon retail areas.
  • Role model the ‘ghd expert’ approach in salon by sharing product knowledge, trial & demo, and implementation of ghd PHD.
  • Manage and maintain the terms outlined in our retail partnership contracts on a monthly/bi- monthly basis.
  • Identifying key opportunities within the territory to elevate and accelerate growth with both new and existing salons through the promotion and sales of products and services.
  • Accountable for achieving set revenues and defined KPIs within the territory, tracking, analysing, and reporting accordingly.
  • Identify opportunities to up-sell and link-sell to develop the territory.
  • Manage diary and journey plan effectively to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Support client with appropriate budget and payment solutions.
  • Develop internal network and relationships to support key activity, such as partnering with key account educators.
  • Attendance and participation in team and sales meetings and events.
  • Collaborate effectively and enthusiastically within the regional team.
  • Foster a culture of creativity and excellence.
  • Role model and champion the 5Cs framework, be Collaborative, Creative, Courageous, Connected, Committed.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven account management or other relevant experience.
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
  • Entrepreneurial and results orientated mindset.
  • Understanding of social media and how to utilise for commercial benefit.
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel and ability to create bespoke. PowerPoint Presentations for individual customers.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to drive and influence both internal stakeholders and external business partners.
  • Ability to engage, create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
  • A high level of verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure within deadlines with excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Highly adaptable to change, with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Desire to continuously learn and develop.
  • Enthusiastic and hands-on style, with a can-do attitude.
  • Demonstrates passion for the ghd brand and products.
  • Ideally based in the defined territory.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
