Salary: Dependent on experienceAre you a nurturing and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting young children with special educational needs?We are currently seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and well-resourced SEN school in Slough.This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and developmental delays. The school fosters a supportive, inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.About the Role:
  • Supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with their learning and developmental milestones
  • Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised learning plans
  • Providing assistance with personal care and engaging pupils in sensory-based activities as needed
  • Contributing to the creation of a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment
  • Developing positive, trusting relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families
The ideal candidate will:
  • Proven experience supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ideally within a special educational needs (SEN) environment
  • A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach to supporting young learners
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A current DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
