Purchase Ledger Clerk📍 Hyde, Greater Manchester🕘 Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm (35 hrs/week)🧾 Salary – Competitive (DOE)We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation based in Hyde, Greater Manchester, who are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team.This is a great opportunity for someone with strong purchase ledger experience to support a busy and friendly finance department in a full-time, office-based role.🔊 About the RoleYou will take ownership of the end-to-end purchase ledger function — ensuring accuracy in invoice processing, payment runs, and supplier reconciliations, while providing excellent support to internal teams and external suppliers.🛠️ Key Responsibilities
  • Match, code, and process invoices and delivery notes
  • Reconcile supplier statements and review aged creditors
  • Set up and maintain supplier account records
  • Process payments via BACS, SEPA, and foreign currency
  • Handle queries, intercompany reconciliations, and staff expenses
✅ What We’re Looking ForEssential:
  • Previous experience in a similar purchase ledger or finance role
  • Confident working as part of a team
  • Professional and polite telephone manner
Desirable:
  • Experience handling foreign currencies
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
  • Basic Excel proficiency
