Innovative Teaching: Demonstrate thorough subject knowledge and implement innovative teaching strategies to engage and motivate students.
Pupil Progression: Closely monitor pupil targets and progression, adapting learning and resources for varying ability levels and needs (Intent, Implementation, Impact).
Assessment & Reporting: Provide regular formative and summative overviews of attainment, engagement, and progress. Contribute to termly and annual reports for external stakeholders and Governors.
Raising Profile: Promote Maths through a variety of initiatives, assemblies, and activities, working collaboratively with colleagues.
Pastoral Care: As a Tutor, promote the attendance and welfare of children in your Tutor Group, maintaining clear and regular communication with home and adhering strictly to safeguarding procedures.
School Community: Support the aims and ethos of the School, contribute to the School's Development Plan, and participate in provisioning lunchtime enrichment activities.
Stakeholder Engagement: Inspire trust and confidence from parents, pupils, colleagues, and external stakeholders through professional and sensitive communication.They are looking for a professional who:
- Possesses thorough subject knowledge in Maths, particularly for KS3 and KS4.
- Has experience and a strong aptitude for working with pupils with SEN, including those who may be disaffected or anxious.
- Can demonstrate highly effective teaching, assessment, and classroom management skills.
- Is adept at planning a sequential and ambitious curriculum tailored to individual needs.
- Is committed to upholding the highest standards of safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
- Can effectively monitor, assess, review, and evaluate pupil progress and the effectiveness of the Maths curriculum.
- Is an excellent communicator, able to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Is proactive in their own professional development and committed to contributing to the wider school community.
- Is able to support a calm approach and good order among pupils, in line with school policies.
- Is prepared for the physical demands of the role, which may occasionally require physical intervention using Team Teach trained techniques (training provided).
