Randstad are recruiting for experienced Highways Site Agent to join a reputable integrated services contractor on a highways improvement contract in West London.Previous experience working on Motorways / highways term maintenance contracts (eg TFL) is highly enouraged.This role is paid via CIS and expected to last 12-18 months.Scope of work will include roadworks and resurfacing schemes, drainage, street lighting, lining and signing projects, accessibility upgrades, urban realm improvement, walking / cycling paths, public transport enhancements.Responsibilities:You will be responsible for the successful delivery of a highways improvement schemeensuring objectives and targets are achieved leading to the successful overall delivery of the projects. You will also manage the teams on site (either internal or external providers) and Deputise for the works Manager in their absence.

  • Manage project execution, ensuring safety, quality, and budget adherence.
  • Oversee project delivery, meeting client objectives and targets.
  • Lead and manage on-site teams, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Manage plant, labor, and materials for efficient project execution.
  • Implement quality control procedures, ensuring work meets the highest standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in highways schemes /civil engineering, with a strong understanding of on-site health and safety practices.
  • Experience in leading and managing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • ONC, HNC, or degree in civil engineering
  • A certificate in Site Safety Management, CSCS card, SMSTS and NRSWA certificate are highly desirable.
