Following a recent investment in the business, our technical and product teams are tasked with delivering a new digital vision for Virgin Experience Days (UK) and Virgin Experience Gifts (USA) across mobile, tablet and web for both consumers and corporate customers.We need you to help us:Lead the unification of our global backend tech stackUse data led insights to identify opportunities to streamline our systems to achieve the best experience for our end usersWork closely with stakeholders across the business to gather, understand and prioritise business requirements, logically assess business cases and develop relevant KPIsEngage stakeholders at all levels to ensure that the backlog prioritisation meets the needs of the business and develop delivery roadmaps to visualise the development pipeline for your workstreamsTranslate business requirements into useful user stories and acceptance criteria for the development teamsRole Responsibilities:Lead multi-disciplined development teams, to evolve the product ensuring that there is a clear understanding of what we are delivering on each product plus the associated costs, benefits and timelinesOwn the roadmap for your product ensuring that it is prioritised effectivelyFacilitate decision making with stakeholders and the agile development team by owning and leading scrum ceremoniesInvestigate solutions using a range of approaches, including researching competitor analysis, commercially available platforms and potential partnersDive into the detail capturing requirements in a clear concise formatUnderstand, analyse and document current processes and workflowsIdentify and propose opportunities for improvementGain approval and sign-off on new projects through demos and user acceptance testingOwn taking the deliverables to market by managing the release process and communicationTrack impact of new features and share this with the wider businessWhat you'll need:Experience in an D2C eCommerce environment, with knowledge of commerce systemsExperience documenting, understanding and migrating complex data structuresExperience owning 1st and 3rd party commerce platformsA complete customer focus backed by commercial awareness, quickly able to assess potential business opportunitiesAbility to simplify complex problems, processes or projects into component parts and be able to explore and evaluate them systematicallyAbility to work autonomously or collaboratively with stakeholders and stay open to ideas/suggestionsAbility to work with and manage technical resources including: UX, Engineering and QAAn interest and understanding of relevant commerce technologiesAbility to confidently and effectively present options and recommendations to stakeholders, resolve project issues and mitigate risks proactivelyAbility to see opportunities and pivot quickly to take advantage of them, using data to support decisions and propose improvements to the customer journey and internal processesAbility to work in a Scrum/agile software development environmentDemonstrable experience of using relevant planning and development tools like JIRA, Confluence and Lucid chartYou’ll be excited to work in rapid paced medium sized businessesWhat's in it for you?Work from our modern offices based in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire (SL8 5YS)Free breakfast in the office (cereal, toast, spreads, fresh fruit, coffee, tea)Make use of our hybrid working policy (minimum 2 days office based)Enjoy Flexitime, working core hours of 7.5 hours per day with one hour for lunch; flexible starting and finishing timesAccess to an award-winning employee assistance programme to support your health and wellbeingGenerous health cash plan£150 to spend each year on our experiences, for you to enjoy our products yourselfAccess to our discounts scheme within the Virgin Group (Virgin Family Membership)Share extraordinary experiences with your friends and family with a discountAbout usOrdinary is everywhere, because it’s easy.But we go further, striving for extra at every turn.
