Job Description:Job DescriptionJob PurposeThe primary responsibility of this role will be developing business intelligence insights through defining and building Tableau reports and Dashboards for both internal and external facing data, following the team’s SDLC. It requires the confidence to work with business domain experts in the Risk, Treasury and Operations teams as well as development teams in other ICE offices, including the main US Atlanta office.The role will require the incumbent to gain a good understanding of the entire clearing lifecycle, from trade execution and post trade management to Risk and Treasury management and the data to be provided to external regulatory bodies. There will be an expectation to assist with responses to questions and requests from internal and external stakeholders. Some of these requests are complex and urgent in nature, which will require an ability to work under pressure, rapidly analysing data, validating and concisely communicating the responses.Responsibilities
  • Improve the quality and efficiency of Business Intelligence.
  • Produce and maintain Tableau reports and Dashboards to ensure consistency and data quality at ICEU.
  • Data Scientist - Ability to analyse very complex and high volumes of data. Take ownership of risk focused analysis and produce quality reports to an agreed timetable.
  • Ability to present data and analytical conclusions in a concise manner and develop interim reports as business needs dictate. Over time, where appropriate and as skills develop, help to fully productionised results.
  • Be innovative in the display and visualisation of reports seeking to improve their use, effectiveness, and user experience.
  • Business requirement definition, Functional designs for Tableau reports and Dashboards, test design, planning and execution are key aspects of the role.
  • Technical assistance and advice to development team for new reports in production, changes to specifications, or to assist in resolving issues in existing reports.
  • Ability to integrate knowledge and reports into the production facing areas is essential so that reporting quality can be sustained.
  • Take responsibility as required for the ongoing production and monitoring of regulatory reporting tasks required to be produced by the department.
  • Help to respond to any compliance or regulatory request made to the department.
A high level of analytical complexity is involved as data is extensive together with an ability to absorb and apply knowledge as some business areas are complex.Knowledge and ExperienceEssential
  • Higher level education
  • Strong IT skills, especially Tableau but including Excel VBA, Oracle/SQL, Python, Windows, and configuration management.
  • A logical and analytical approach, high level of numeracy
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work alone as well as part of a team
Desirable
  • Training in IT development methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall
  • Regulatory liaison in the financial industry
  • Hands on experience working with the CCPs clearing data feeds, interfaces, and workflows, i.e., IM, VM, Cashflows, Fee and Reference data.
  • Specific experience of energy and/or commodities markets.
ScheduleThis role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week.
