
Data Privacy Manager - Maternity Leave

- Previous knowledge of redaction and DSAR management tools an advantage;
- A strong understanding of corporate privacy and compliance obligations;
- Prior experience managing privacy projects or activities relating to privacy programmes
- Solid knowledge of UK Data Protection laws, including UK GDPR, DPA and PECR;
- Experience of risk assessment frameworks or broader information security experience (desirable);
- Experience working in the energy, financial service, insurance, and/or telco industries (desirable);
- An ability to manage and prioritise busy workloads;
- The ability to be flexible and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines;
- An ability to work within a small team, be self-motivated and independent;
Reporting to the DPO and Head of Data Privacy, you'll be joining a team of high-performing, Legal team who pride themselves on great relationships. You'll work with a range of stakeholders across the business, advising on and navigating the many privacy challenges involved in operating a multi-service, consumer-facing business.Your key stakeholders will include colleagues across People, Customer Services, Technology, Marketing, Partners and Sales.We deliver progress. What you'll do and how you will make an impact
- Handling requests from data subjects exercising their privacy rights (DSARs, erasure requests, objections, requests to port etc) under the UK GDPR and UK Data Protection Act
- Producing reports and providing stats
- Adapting and innovating process in line with the business's fast-paced growth
- Working alongside relevant teams such as Information Security, Fraud, Product, Technology and the wider business on projects / ad hoc queries requiring privacy input
- Working with internal stakeholders / third parties to identify the cause of privacy incidents and responding to data incidents
- Managing compliance activities, such as ICO registrations, breach reporting and supplying monthly logs to the regulator
- Providing mentoring to team members, where required, particularly from a privacy incident perspective
- Horizon scanning:
- Advising the business on developments in data protection law and working with internal stakeholders to develop solutions and ensure compliance
- Presentations to team or wider department on developments
