1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - MonmouthAre you passionate about making a real difference in children's lives?
Do you have experience supporting children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)?Academics are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Monmouth. This role is based within a Learning Resource Base, working 1:1 with a pupil with ALN, helping to support their educational, emotional, and social development.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with ALN, helping them access and engage with the curriculum.
  • Assist in implementing and monitoring individual learning and support plans.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SEN team to foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Prepare and deliver appropriate learning resources and materials.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a SEN or ALN support role (essential).
  • 1:1 support experience with ALN pupils (desirable).
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply - we can help).
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) - support provided if needed.
  • Two recent, professional references.
