- Establish internal policies and approve external policies, standards, processes, and templates for working with suppliers.
- Development and support of Supplier/ Procurement strategy
- Understand suppliers spending by category, cost centre, region, and vendor.
- Classify, rationalize, and optimize the vendor portfolio, and concentrate efforts on managing the most strategic vendors.
- Manage senior-level collaborative meetings between the suppliers and the client.
- Create contract, performance, relationship, and risk management procedures.
- Ensure there are clear metrics across all key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure strong performance management.
- Matrix manage Sourcing, 3rd Party risk, that are part of the supplier’s management team.
- Identify and execute value opportunities with key supplier relationships.
- Manage the team in relation to supplier relationships, and product or service performance for all of the Banks suppliers
- Analyse problem areas and help resolve issues and disputes.
- Collect reporting requirements and develop supplier scorecards & dashboards that present relevant data tailored to stakeholders.
- Focus supplier performance metrics on process, and business outcomes, such as innovation, competitive advantage, and increased revenue. Define and hold strategic suppliers to higher performance standards and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain/enhance tools for use in supplier management, including supplier tracking, analytics, and performance management tools (scorecards and dashboards).
- Collect, consolidate, and communicate detailed reports and key supplier data to stakeholders on supplier performance, risk, and relationships.
- Assist Business Owners with Supplier evaluation, selection criteria, procedures, and best-practice tools and templates.
- Assist procurement staff when negotiating with vendors to optimize the procurement of cost-effective acquisitions.
- Manage relationships with suppliers for cost effectiveness, build a main supplier repository to ensure effective contract management and supplier relationships, and plan for major software upgrades, ensuring that change management procedures/methodologies are used.
- Proven experience in running and maintaining supplier relationships within a financial services environment (e.g. banking, insurance, asset management).
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Procurement/ Supplier management.
- Working experience of Technology and SaaS solutions/suppliers
- Strong understanding of procurement regulations (EBA Guidelines, SS2/21), third-party risk management, and contract law.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in procurement tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field preferred.
- In depth Experience of a Contract Management System (preferably Gatekeeper)
