- Completing the structural design of new build nuclear structures, including for accidental situations such as seismic and blast.
- Coordinating and communicating on complex engineering problems between project stakeholders.
- Providing technical review and responding to site queries and requested changes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to support contractor activities on HPC site.
- Perform analysis of structures within commercial FEM packages (experience in using Ansys beneficial).
- Provide a technical link with reinforcement detailers, also checking detailing models and drawings.
- Developing strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's or master's in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Working towards or recently Chartered with the ICE, IStructE, or with equivalent experience.
- Experience in reinforced concrete calculation and design.
- Working familiarity with relevant technical Codes of Practice and Industry Standards (Eurocodes, British Standard, and ETC-C the applicable code for HPC/SZC).
- Proactive individual who can work collaboratively within a multicultural team.
- Agile and self-motivated, with a focus on improving personal and team performance and able to generate innovative outcomes to challenges.
- Experience working on major infrastructure projects and can demonstrate ability to deliver high quality work packages to schedule.
- You enjoy new challenges and are keen to learn and willing to take responsibility whilst also wanting to support others within our team.
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry based in the UK, e.g. nuclear.
