For internal candidates, please discuss with your current Line Manager before submitting your application.We are excited to be hiring a new Systems Officer to join our fantastic Business System & Digital Team where you will play a vital part in shaping digital transformation initiatives that contribute to enhancing resident's experiences and help drive positive change within Surrey County Council.This is a hybrid role and the team works from the office at least once a week, with additional in-person days as required. We are primarily based in Woking, however, we travel across the county as needed.Rewards and Benefits

About the RoleThe Business Systems and Digital Team ensures that the digital systems used in Adult Social Care work well, are easy to use, and help staff do their jobs efficiently. We support staff with training and guidance so they can record the right information at the right time. We're always looking for ways to improve our systems and the ways that we work, to better serve our Surrey residents.Are you ready to make a real impact in the public sector?The Business System & Digital Team, part of the Adults, Wellbeing & Health Partnerships directorate, is looking for a tech-savvy and enthusiastic Systems Officer to join our friendly team. This role offers an exciting chance to be part of a solutions-driven team, perfect for honing your IT and technical skills, diving into data/digital analysis, and crafting innovative and creative solutions.As a Systems Officer, you will support the implementation and maintenance of business systems, collaborate with colleagues to improve digital processes and provide technical expertise across departments.This is a highly varied role, and on a typical day you'll:
  • Ensure the smooth operation of our systems, addressing any queries related to user access and system functionality
  • During test cycles, you'll collaborate closely with the development team to execute systems testing and contribute to system improvements
  • Create and maintain user guides and internal documentation, as well as update and improve our SharePoint page
  • Assist in delivering user training for newly introduced processes and system enhancements
  • Actively contribute to the continual improvement of our processes
This role is all about maintaining and advancing our Adult Social Care sourcing systems and supporting third-party applications. By doing so, you'll help provide tailored solutions to meet the needs of our residents and enhance the care provided.
