JOB TITLE: Security SupervisorLOCATION: The Avenue Shopping CentreHOURS: 40 per weekSHIFT PATTERN: 5 over 7PAY RATE: £12.62 per hourROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSEWe are looking to appoint an experienced security supervisor to maintain a safe and secure shopping environment and lead the security team at The Avenue Shopping Centre. The focus of this role will be to deliver excellence through establishing and enforcing robust security policies and procedures.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the Security Manager in operational HR responsibilities to recruit, retain and develop the security team
  • Maintain and manage staff attendance/absence records in conjunction with company policies and procedures
  • Ensure rota is accurate and up to date and manpower coverage is maintained and all team members complete the required shifts and duty hours as detailed on the duty rota
  • Set objectives for direct reports as per company procedure. Ensure the same approach and mechanisms for all staff within area of responsibility
  • Deliver excellent communications and motivation for all direct reports
  • Deliver to all new starters a formal induction and site-specific training
  • Ensure objectives, performance reviews and Toolbox Talks are completed as per company policy
  • Identify training needs and ensure accurate site records are always maintained
  • Support the Security Manager to ensure the necessary security audits are undertaken and any non-compliance highlighted and managed to completion
  • Manage excellent relationships with our client, our suppliers, and other partners
  • Deal efficiently and effectively with all emergencies including fire, ensuring the Centre team are kept fully always informed
  • Lead the Security Team when dealing with incidents
  • Support and provide guidance to other site based/centre staff
  • Liaise closely with statutory authorities, dealing with incidents and the provision of information
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Team leading experience with the overseeing the day to day running of the security team within a similar environment.
  • High level of attention to detail
  • High level of customer care awareness
  • Familiar with patrolling and monitoring from a loss prevention aspect
  • Confident in complying with Health & Safety and fire prevention procedures
ESSENTIAL
  • SIA Door Supervisor licence
  • SIA CCTV licence
