Are you looking for teaching opportunity in planetary geophysics? Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking an Associate Lecturer to teach next Spring term 2026.The is looking to recruit a part-time, fixed-term Associate Lecturer to teach on the following module:
- Level 5 * 60 Hours of teaching
  • Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 6-9pm in Spring term.
The core of this 30 credit module consists of taught lectures covering most aspects of geophysics and practical sessions, using MATLAB to apply geophysical methods to real world datasets.Therefore, you will have knowledge and experience of geophysical methods, such as seismology, gravity, magnetics and electrical and electromagnetic methods. This hourly rate is based on the starting point of Grade 7 and is inclusive of a 'Duties Related to Teaching Multiplier' at 2.5, which covers preparation, teaching, administration, assessment marking and other examining duties in connection with the course.Contract:Fixed-term, January - March 2026, part-time contract.
