🌞 We're looking for a flexible, part-time fragrance specialist to join our Beak Street Store team. They'll report directly to our Flagship Store Manager. It would be on a zero-hour contract basis - approximately 15 hours/week.As a Fragrance Specialist, you will be responsible for day-to-day store operations. You will create the best possible experience for all store visitors, especially our ledger members. You will receive excellent training in fragrances, with a focus on natural perfumery - and while we don’t expect you to know lots about this to begin with, we are certainly looking for people with a lively interest in the fragrance world.The Ffern store will be a multipurpose space, hosting workshops and events for friends and members of Ffern. You will be part of delivering these events, so you should be flexible and willing to take on extra responsibilities on occasion.Key Responsibilities 💼
  • Connect with customers, aiming to reach sales targets through sincere interactions that communicate your passion for Ffern’s ethos and products.
  • Maintain a calm, stimulating environment for our customers in-store and on the phone.
  • Strive to develop your knowledge of fine fragrance, supported by training opportunities provided by the Flagship Store Manager and the wider Ffern team.
  • Support the Flagship Store Manager and wider Ffern team with content creation.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for everyone, adhering to risk assessments and maintaining a high level of housekeeping.
  • Open and/or close the store when needed.
  • Cleaning duties to make sure the store always looks immaculate.
Requirements
  • Previous retail and/or customer service experience.
  • A wonderful communicator who loves connecting with people - preferably over perfume!
  • A bright, inquiring mind, always looking for ways to improve.
  • A creative with exciting ideas for our space.
  • A flexible and cheerful outlook - willing to try new things and get stuck into any task.
  • Someone who feels inspired by and closely connected to Ffern’s core values.
