Day rate: £90-100We are currently recruiting for an SEND Teaching Assistant for an SEND school in the Longfield area. The ideal SEND TA will have experience working in mainstream SEND or in a SEND setting. Ideally, you will be a TA, LSA or SEND TA.As an SEND TA, you will support students in lessons, accompany them in outdoor learning activities and work with them to develop academic and behavioural excellence. You will be required to engage your learners in their lessons whilst caring for their emotional and pastoral needs.Your responsibilities as an SEND TA will include:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEND including non-verbal students
- Support students in managing their behaviour in and outside the classroom, encouraging positive social interactions.
- Monitor and report on student progress to the teaching staff, contributing to reviews and future planning.
- Being alert to any safeguarding or pastoral concerns
- Assist in delivering tailored lessons and interventions aimed at improving behaviour and emotional well-being.
- Promote and encourage positive behaviour, self-regulation, and confidence-building activities.
