- Provide tailored support to students with a range of needs, including communication and interaction difficulties, in both individual and small group settings.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons and activities that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment, helping to manage behaviour and promote student engagement.
- Support the social and emotional development of our students, acting as a positive role model.
- Contribute to the ongoing assessment and recording of student progress.
- Participate in our commitment to a holistic approach to education, which may include supporting students in off-site activities and vocational training.
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably in a school or support setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature.
- A proactive and flexible approach to their work.
- A minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- A willingness to undertake training and professional development, including in positive behaviour support techniques.
