Contract: Ad Hoc/ Flexible – Start October 2025About the RoleTeaching Personnel is proud to be working with a fantastic secondary school in Caerleon to recruit a reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisor to work on an ad-hoc basis. In this role, you will step into classrooms to deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and on task in the absence of their usual teacher.You will provide clear instructions, manage behaviour effectively, and maintain a positive learning environment that supports pupils’ progress. This is a dynamic, ad-hoc role where every day brings something new. - Are patient, proactive, and value building strong rapport with students
- Can adapt to different classroom settings by demonstrating confident behaviour management and classroom control
- Are committed to creating an inclusive learning environment
- Confident to support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Possess knowledge of key curriculum subjects
- Ensure safeguarding protocols are followed and take registers accurately
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- An Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service
- Level 2 Safeguarding training
- At least two professional referencescovering the past two years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
