Backed by EDF and the UK Government, Sizewell C is a once-in-a-generation project with significant opportunities to innovate, grow, and deliver excellence.PositionUnder the supervision of the Quality Manager, the Assistant Quality Manager supports the implementation of quality management processes on-site. They contribute to ensuring that construction activities are carried out in accordance with project specifications, client expectations, and quality standards.Main responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of project quality procedures across site teams and subcontractors.
- Support inspections of works, materials, and equipment to verify compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Help identify non-conformities and track corrective actions until resolution.
- Support the preparation and follow-up of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and quality records.
- Monitor suppliers' and subcontractors' quality deliverables and ensure proper documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date quality logs and support reporting activities to the Senior Quality Manager.
- Assist with internal and external audits, quality briefings, and feedback sessions.
- Contribute to the development of training materials, procedures, and improvement actions.
- Degree in civil engineering, construction, building science, or equivalent experience
- Initial experience in a similar role (quality, site supervision, construction engineering) is desirable.
- Exposure to large-scale construction or infrastructure projects is a plus.
- Basic understanding of ISO 9001 and Quality Management Systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good command of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
- Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written)
