
Workshop Technician

- Manage daily workload within the workshop to meet demand plans and customer needs
- Ensure that all repairs are evaluated and completed in a timely manner as defined by the Team lead or Supervisor
- Work with the Customer services Department to schedule the quality checking of all capital equipment
- Responding to customer and internal queries in a timely, efficient and professional manner
- Provide reporting and documentation on all aspects of work within the workshop
- Assist with ERP Data entry, quoting and repair of customer equipment
- Maintain technical competency through regular and frequent attendance at appropriate courses of further vocational study and continuing professional development
- Ensure that Health & Safety standards and requirements are met at all times by the Supplier, its employees, servants and agents
- Ensure that the department's performance of services is ISO 9001 compliant
- Support Team and Individual continuous improvement initiatives to drive higher standards of efficiency and quality
- Provide Technical support for both internal and external customers
- Ensure efficient maintenance of the spare parts stock and participate in the realization of the required annual inventories
- Provide reporting on repair, departmental or customer activity using the appropriate systems available
- Fluent in Local Language as well as minimum level of English
- Educational requirements per country specific regulations.
- Educated to degree level is preferable with experience in at least one of the following: Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or Medical Physics or Service and maintenance of medical equipment or Customer service
- Previous experience of maintenance and repair of medical equipment preferred
- Experience with ERP systems and data entry
- Full Driver’s license
- Exerting up to 25 kilos of force occasionally and/or up to 10 kilos of force constantly to move objects
- Coordination of eye, hand and foot movement with an ability to grasp by hand and meet cognitive demands to include visual and auditory discrimination / memory, reading ability and memory retention ability
- Must have the ability to prioritize work and keep documentation
- Must possess unwavering ethics & integrity in a competitive and demanding work environment
- Ability to think independently, use sound judgment, prioritize, make quick decisions and problem-solve
- Ability to communicate effectively and work both independently and as part of a team on assignments
- May involve exposure to chemicals, solvents, and cleaning detergents
- May require to wear personal protective equipment
