- Desirable Skills
- Some background in electronics manufacture would be an advantage
- Internal Auditor or training to AS9100 and/or ISO/TS16949
- Awareness of IPC soldering std.
- HNC/HND; Eng discipline or equivalent work experience
- Able to manage multiple conflicting priorities and deadlines.
- Proactive approaches to risk reduction, to prevent & resolve issues and remove nonvalue add processes.
- Promote continuous Improvement, through best practice, problem solving & education.
- Knowledge of CCA and mechanical assembly
- Primary authority on all quality related matters on assigned programme(s) / area of responsibility.
- Interfacing and communicating with program and functional areas to support the goals of the business.
- Conducting Quality Audits (product/product release/process)
- Awareness and support during external accreditation audits & knowledge of regulatory requirements (AS9100 & ISO 9001)
- Support to customer visits on site where necessary
- Defect investigation to identify and addressing root cause.
- Ensure effective & timely closure of Audit NC's/internal 8D's/customer complaints.
- Provide Quality input to support bids to new business
- Ensuring that customer contractual requirements and external regulations are fully understood and adhered to.
- Performing First Article Reviews (FAR’s)
- Participation in Gate Reviews.
- Maintain quality records (QPulse)
- Effective & timely monitoring and status reporting for assigned program(s) / area of responsibility.
